FROB Wiki

Everything a small frog needs to know on the way back to the pond. The wiki grows with the game – more pages arrive as Team FROB reveals more.

01 Story

Frob is a whimsical little frog living a happy life at his pond – until a heron tadnaps his tadpoles. Armed with nothing but his trusty bottle and scarf, Frob sets off in a daring chase through the human world and the wild to get every single tadpole back home. He’ll manage without a problem. FROBably.

02 The frog tongue

Having a frog tongue makes things a lot easier. It is Frob’s all-purpose tool:

  • Swing – latch onto anchor points and swing across gaps.
  • Climb – pull yourself up ledges and walls that are out of jumping range.
  • Fight – whip creatures that get in your way.
  • Grab – snatch tadpoles, caterpillars and other goodies from a distance.

03 Moves & controls

FROB is a 3D platformer with full controller support (keyboard and mouse work too). Jump over obstacles, chain jumps with tongue swings to cross wide gaps, and use walls and platforms to reach higher ground. Precision matters: many collectibles sit just out of reach and reward a well-timed swing.

Tip: if a platform looks unreachable, look for something to swing from first. The level design almost always gives the tongue a target.

04 Levels & places

The journey home leads through very different worlds, each with its own dangers and secrets:

Urban streets

The human world – big, loud and full of things that were never built for frogs.

Lush gardens

Flowers, hedges and garden furniture become a giant playground.

Forest thickets

Dense wild overgrowth, mushroom platforms and beetles that are not happy to see you.

Old sewer tunnels

Dark, wet and winding – the shortcut back towards the pond.

The pond

Home. And the place where the heron waits.

05 Tadpoles

Your kids are scattered across every level. The tadpole tracker at the top of the screen shows how many you have found and how many are still missing. Explore every corner – some tadpoles are hidden off the main path and need a tongue swing or a detour to reach.

06 Jewel caterpillars & the moth

Shiny jewel caterpillars are the second collectible. Bring them to the flashy moth and you might earn new colours and fresh accessories for Frob. Purely cosmetic, purely fabulous.

07 Enemies & the heron

Not every creature outside your lovely pond is a friend. Beetles charge, dragonflies dart, and the heron – the tadnapper himself – is the big one you have to face at the end. Use the tongue to keep enemies at a distance and dodge before you strike.

08 Bottle & scarf

Frob carries his trusty bottle and a scarf. The bottle is his home on the road (and a tadpole carrier), the scarf is pure style. Both can be changed with unlocks from the moth.

09 Team FROB

FROB started as a semester project and grew into a passion project between four friends: Team FROB develops the game, GoraGames publishes it and supports the team with production, Steam and code. The game is built with Unreal Engine.
